DayOne 2023

Chemistry is often referred to as the central science— it is the nature of matter. At Montana Tech, students in Chemistry & Geochemistry programs learn the fundamentals of the central science studying in the Professional Track; and can specialize in Biochemistry or Environmental Chemistry options; students can also tailor their electives and program to match their career objectives. 

Several areas of specialization are available at the undergraduate level. Each area is designed to enhance knowledge in the special area while maintaining a strong chemical orientation. Areas of specialization include Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry , and a Professional track. Our students are involved in both fundamental and applied research, and engage in a combination of studies that prepare them for careers and research across the spectrum of chemistry disciplines.
