DayOne 2018

DAY ONE 2018 has concluded -  If you are interested in supporting any of the DAY ONE projects you still can, today and throughout the year, by visiting the Montana Tech Foundation mtech.edu/give. Simply add where you would like your gift applied in the comments section.      

Montana Tech (then the Montana State School of Mines) opened its doors to our first 39 students on the 11th of September 1900 with one building (Main Hall) and two degrees (Mining Engineering and Electrical Engineering). It was our DAY ONE. Now, over 100 years later, we boast two growing campuses between Montana Tech and Highlands College and offer over 60 degrees.

To celebrate our history and our growth, we are holding our second annual digital fundraising event DAY ONE. The goal is to bring together our Montana Tech community, to share what is happening on campuses, and raise funds for our departments and programs in focused areas.

During Day One we are offering three unique giving incentives only available during a special match window. See details below:

First Time & Student Donor Match - Total match dollars $20,000.

• First time or student donors will be matched $2 dollars for each dollar given up to a total of $20,000. That means your gift of $50 actually has the impact of $150. To take advantage of this matching opportunity make sure to answer yes to being either a first time donor or a currently enrolled Montana Tech student on the giving form. Match opportunity will be available from 6am September 11th, 2018 through 10am September 12th, 2018 or until the $20,000 has been met if sooner.

DAY ONE Departmental Challenge

• Departments will go head-to-head for a chance to earn extra money towards their department by bringing in the most individual donors to their project. The top ten finishers split the pot, valued at up to $20,000, ranging from $5,000 for the top finisher to $500 for 10th place.Match opportunity will be available from 6am September 11th, 2018 through 10am September 12th, 2018.

Faculty/Staff Giving Drive - Total match dollars $20,000.

• When a faculty or staff member signs up to give, through our Faculty Staff giving program, with either a one time donation or monthly donation through payroll deduction their first gift will be matched 1:1. Total match dollars $20,000. Match opportunity will be available from 6am September 11th, 2018 through 10am September 12th, 2018 or until the $20,000 has been met if sooner.
