The Montana Tech Nursing program has shown continued growth, and acceptance to the program is extremely competitive due to the intake each semester of only 20 new students. Enrollment is at capacity, with a waitlist of students wanting to purse their degree at Montana Tech and the Nursing Department is using every square inch of space they have available with no additional room to expand the program within their current building. The demand is there and Montana Tech is committed to increase our nursing intake by 10 students per semester starting in 2019, but to achieve this more instruction space is needed.
Our vision is the development of a Montana Tech Nursing Simulation Center. The Montana Tech Nursing Simulation Center will be located in the Science and Engineering building, occupying 4,752 square feet on the north side of the first floor, offering students four patient rooms and a centralized control room, student debriefing rooms, conference rooms, Director’s Office and much needed simulation storage. The space will allow our Nursing Department to integrate real life simulation opportunities throughout the entire nursing curriculum improving the competency of Montana Tech Nursing graduates.
The Nursing Department at Montana Tech has become a leader in education in the state, recently an independent study ranked the program as the #1 Registered Nursing Program in Montana, and we aim to keep it that way. Please consider investing in Montana Tech Nursing students making a gift today to the Montana Tech Nursing Simulation Center.
