DayOne 2019

DayOne 2019 has concluded -  If you are interested in supporting any of the DayOne projects you still can, today and throughout the year, by visiting the Montana Tech Foundation mtech.edu/give. Montana Tech (then the Montana State School of Mines) opened its doors to our first 39 students on the 11th of September 1900 with one building (Main Hall) and two degrees (Mining Engineering and Electrical Engineering). It was our DayOne. Now, over 100 years later, we boast two growing campuses between Montana Tech and Highlands College and offer over 60 degrees.

To celebrate our history and our growth, we plan to hold our third annual  two day digital fundraising event DayOne on the 11th and 12th of September. The goal is to bring together our Montana Tech community, to share what is happening on our campuses, and raise funds for our departments and programs in focused areas. The DayOne giving site will be live to give from 6am MST on the 11th of September to 11:59pm MST on the 12th of September.

During DayOne we are offering three unique giving incentives only available during a special match window. See details below:

DayOne Departmental Challenge - Total match dollars $20,000

• Departments will go head-to-head for a chance to earn extra money towards their department by bringing in the most unique individual donors to their project. The top ten finishers split the pot, valued at up to $20,000, ranging from $5,000 for the top finisher to $500 for 10th place. Please note that the Montana Tech Foundation will be monitoring unique donors and adjusting as needed to keep the challenge accurate. Match opportunity will be available from 6am MST September 11th, 2019 through 12pm MST September 12th, 2019.

First Time & Student Donor Match - Total match dollars $10,000

• First time or student donors will be matched 1:1 for each dollar given up to a total of $10,000. This means your gift of $50 actually has the impact of $100. To take advantage of this matching opportunity make sure to answer yes to the question "Is this your first time giving to the Montana Tech Foundation or are you currently enrolled as a student at Montana Tech?" on the giving form. Please note that the Montana Tech Foundation will be monitoring first time donors with giving history and adjusting as needed to keep the matching opportunity accurate. Matching opportunity will be available from 6am MST September 11th, 2019 through 12pm MST September 12th, 2019 or sooner if the $10,000 match has been met.  *The Match has been met and is no longer available*

Montana Tech Faculty & Staff Match - Total match dollars $10,000

• When a faculty or staff member gives during DayOne their gift will be matched 1:1. This means your gift of $500 actually has the impact of $1000. To take advantage of this matching opportunity make sure to answer yes to the question "Are you currently a Faculty or Staff member at Montana Tech?" on the giving form. Please note that the Montana Tech Foundation will be monitoring faculty and staff records and adjusting as needed to keep the matching opportunity accurate. Matching opportunity will be available from 6am MST September 11th, 2019 through 12pm MST September 12th, 2019 or sooner if the $10,000 match has been met. *The Match has been met and is no longer available*
