Civil Engineers design, build, supervise, and construct, sustainable projects and systems in the public and private sector. Projects are wide in scope and can include: buildings, roads, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and municipal systems. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at Montana Tech offers students courses that meet the needs in 5 areas of study: Sustainable Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering.
Graduates learn to master the fundamental disciplines, gain relevant basic engineering practices and find innovative ways to implement creative and cost-effective solutions to meet the growing demands of today’s society. Students gain a holistic perspective on all components of civil engineering projects that include planning, design, and implementation on residential, commercial and heavy civil projects. As such, they will have a broad-based education with knowledge of several civil engineering specialties as indicated at www.asce.org/institutes
To help meet this need and graduate more engineers it is imperative we increase our departmental funds. With your help, we would like to grow the Montana Tech Civil Engineering Departmental Fund. Increased Funds would allow our Civil Engineering Department to best support our students, provide continued professional development for faculty, opportunity for student travel for field trips and conferences, and invest in innovative and needed equipment. Please consider giving today.
Thank you for your support and please help us spread the word! Share this project on social media, by email and tell your friends!
