Montana Tech’s Freshman Engineering Program is the entry point for every first-year engineering student. The Freshman Engineering program enables incoming students with an interest in engineering to be exposed to a broad range of general disciplines without declaring a specific major in their freshman year.
All Freshman Engineering students must complete a common curriculum their first year prior to applying to a specific engineering department. The courses in Freshman Engineering create a strong foundation for basic engineering and assist the student with selecting one of Montana Tech’s engineering disciplines. Students meet with advisors on a regular basis and are encouraged to interact with fellow students through team projects and campus activities.
To help enrich the experience of our Freshman Engineering students we are raising funds for a drone package. The Freshman Engineering Drone Project would help students explore theories mathematics, electronics, chemistry, programming, robotics, and more. While also providing a way to capture video for projects and offering hands on learning opportunities.
By making a gift to the Freshman Engineering Drone Project, we can help students learn engineering basics in an exciting and innovative way. Please consider giving today and investing in our students at Montana Tech.
