Digger Athletics
Investing in the Legacy of Montana Tech Athletics!

Montana Tech Athletics has chosen DayOne to promote and raise funds for the Digger Athletics Legacy Fund. Montana Technological University is committed to recruiting and developing student athletes who will perform successfully in the classroom and compete at a championship level.

Our student athletes truly walk the walk and put the “student” in student-athlete bringing home Academic All-Conference honors for the 2021-2022 seasons including:

  • 44 in Football (leader in the conference)
  • 9 in Volleyball
  • 11 in Women's Basketball (leader in the conference)
  • 6 in Men's Basketball
  • 7 in Men's Golf (leader in the conference)
  • 2 in Women's Golf
  • 4 in Men's Cross Country
  • 4 in Women's Cross Country
  • 5 in Women's Track & Field

Your support for Digger Athletics has helped return unprecedented results in 2021-2022 including:

  • Montana Tech Director of Athletics Matt Stepan was named Frontier Conference AD of the Year
  • Women’s Track & Field wins Conference Championship in the program’s first year
  • Becca Richtman was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2022 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field season
  • Men’s Basketball wins Frontier Conference Championship for first time since 1999
  • Sindou Diallo and Caleb Bellach are named NAIA All-Americans
  • Sean Ramsbacher is named Frontier Conference Men’s Golfer of the Year

  • Women’s Cross Country finishes 11that NAIA National Championship out of 36 teams

We know to be able to recruit, support and continue to excel in Montana Tech Athletics we need to raise unrestricted funds. This will allow us to provide scholarships for student athletes, purchase new equipment and provide improvements and upkeep to facilities, expand and support coaching staff salaries, promote our programs and enrich our community. In short growing our Digger Athletics Legacy Fund, helps grow Digger Athletics

The Digger Legacy Fund will work to provide a championship level experience for all of our student-athletes. We cannot achieve this goal without you and your continued support.

During DayOne an incredible group of Digger Alumni have banded together to offer a 1:1 matching opportunity for all gifts made to the Digger Athletics Legacy Fund up to $17,000.

In addition we are launching the Digger Legacy Club for donors to the Digger Athletics Legacy Fund. Membership levels include the Pick & Hammer Society available to former Montana Tech student-athletes and coaches. Additional societies within the Digger Legacy Club include Green, Copper, Gold, All-Conference, All-American and All-Oredigger.  For additional information on the Digger Legacy Club contact Montana Tech Athletic Director Matt Stepan at mstepan@mtech.edu.

Please help us meet our $17,000 1:1 matching opportunity during DayOne with a gift to the Digger Athletics Legacy Fund  and spread the word! Share this project on social media, by email and tell your friends!
