DayOne 2024

Biology at Montana Tech is a gateway to expansive possibilities in medicine, veterinary medicine, wildlife biology, or graduate school. 

Montana Tech biology students are directly involved in research activities through independent projects or by assisting faculty in important research projects. Students learn biological sciences in an environment that encourages close student-faculty interaction and take advantage of research and education opportunities provided by Tech's location near national parks, wilderness areas, wildlife management areas, and world-class trout streams. 

Investing in our students is investing in the future of our program. Scholarship dollars are not just a financial aid, they're imperative to enrich the student experience and grow our program. By contributing to scholarships like the Biological Sciences Departmental Scholarship and the Health and Exercise Science Scholarship, you're offering students unique hands-on experiences and helping them reach their educational goals. 

Our Biological Sciences Departmental Scholarships help us recruit and retain current students in our Biological Sciences program. Students learn biological sciences in an environment that encourages close student-faculty interaction and take advantage of research and education opportunities provided by Montana Tech's location near three national parks, wilderness areas, wildlife management areas, and world-class trout streams. 

The Health and Exercise Science Scholarship allows us to recruit students looking to pursue careers as health, safety, and fitness professionals or in the medical field. The science-based curriculum emphasizes health, wellness, exercise physiology, and occupational health and safety. 

During DayOne, thanks to Jack '73 and Leah McCarthy, all gifts to Biological Sciences Departmental Scholarships will be matched 1:1 up to $2,000 and all gifts to the Health and Exercise Science Scholarship will be matched 1:1 up to $1,000.
