DayOne 2024

Civil Engineers design, build, supervise, and construct sustainable projects and systems in public and private sectors. Projects are comprehensive in scope and can include: buildings, roads, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and municipal systems. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at Montana Tech offers students courses that meet their needs in 5 areas of study: Sustainable Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering.

We are also excited about our new Construction Management program. Through this new bachelor's degree, students learn the various aspects of construction projects, such as scheduling, cost estimating and accounting, CAD, safety, human resources, machinery, and regulatory compliance.

To support and grow our programs, it is urgent that we increase our available scholarships, invest in our department, and support experiential learning opportunities for our students. With your help, this DayOne we are raising funds for our Civil Engineering Departmental Fund and the Construction Management Fund.

We are invested in the success of our students and recognize how important it is to raise funds to support our department as a whole with a gift to the Montana Tech Civil Engineering Departmental Fund and the Construction Management Fund. Increased funds allow our Civil Engineering Department to support our students best and provide continued professional development for faculty, field trips, conference opportunities, and resources to acquire innovative and needed equipment.

During DayOne , thanks to Nick '92 and Kari '94 Olds, each gift made to the Civil Engineering Departmental Fund will be matched 1:1 up to $1,000, and each gift to the Construction Management Fund will be matched 1:1 up to $1,000.
