Chemistry is often called the central science - it is the nature of matter. At Montana Tech, students in our Chemistry & Geochemistry programs are not just learning the fundamentals but exploring unique opportunities to specialize in Biochemistry or Environmental Chemistry. They are encouraged to tailor their electives and programs to match their career objectives, inspiring them to reach their full potential. 

Several areas of specialization are available at the undergraduate level. Each area is designed to enhance knowledge in the particular area while maintaining a strong chemical orientation. Areas of specialization include Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and a Professional track. Our students are involved in fundamental and applied research and engage in a combination of studies that prepare them for careers and research across the spectrum of chemistry disciplines.
