Ripple (formerly CFWEP)
Educating Tomorrow's Scientists and Change-Makers Today

Join Us in Sustaining Environmental Stewardship and Advancing STEM Education

At Ripple, we've witnessed the transformation of the Clark Fork Watershed through the billion-dollar restoration efforts. Now, our challenge is to ensure this legacy never fades and continues to inspire generations of change-makers, problem-solvers, and conservation-minded citizens. As a newly designated Center within the University System, Ripple will now carry our efforts throughout the state of Montana.

Your Contribution Doubles in Impact This Year

Thanks to a generous $60,000 Capacity Building Challenge Grant from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, all individual and corporate donations will be matched, doubling the effect of your support.

CFWEP is now Ripple: The Center for Education and Ecosystem Studies.

CFWEP has expanded and is now serving schools and watershed communities throughout the state of Montana.  This endeavor enables Ripple to continue its 20-year tradition of inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards, now offering more field-based science and research experiences throughout the state. Our research and education experiences provide an important pipeline into Montana Tech's campus.

Impact. Reach. Excellence. Sustainability.

Our innovative programs and partnerships with Montana Tech's Biology and Environmental Engineering Departments reach students statewide. This outreach provides important recruitment for Montana Tech, as the program partners travel extensively throughout the state of Montana.

Diverse Programs, Endless Impact

Our programs, from community clean-up days to summer high school research programming, enrich students, teachers, and the community. To date, we've engaged over 80,500 students and served 951 teachers across 48 Montana communities. We've earned 22 national and regional awards and shared our best practices in education research journals.

Shining a Light on Tomorrow's Scientists

Recognized as a Program of Distinction by Montana Tech, and as a Center of Excellence with the Montana University System, Ripple is a powerful tool for student engagement and recruitment. We cultivate scientifically literate citizens and prepare tomorrow's problem-solvers, guiding them toward STEM, post-secondary education, and Montana Technological University.

Impact. Reach. Excellence. Sustainability.

Every gift counts, and your generosity ensures we continue our mission to provide excellent programming for Montana students.
