DayOne 2020

Montana Tech is committed to recruiting and developing student athletes who will perform successfully in the classroom and compete at a championship level. We’ve increased our student-athlete population by 10% in 2020 for a total of 217. Our goal is to add another 50 students (20%) in our programs in the next year through the addition of track and field and a commitment to grow our Montana Tech Pep Band. Increasing the funds for the Digger Annual Scholarship is a crucial component to make this a reality.

Our student athletes truly walk the walk and put the “student” in student-athlete bringing home 85 Academic All-Conference honors for the 2019-2020 seasons including:

• 57 in Football
• 8 in Volleyball
• 8 in Women's Basketball
• 4 in Men's Basketball
• 5 in Men's Golf
• 3 in Women's Golf

We have all been impacted by COVID-19 and Digger Athletics is no different. We are happy to have our student athletes back with us on campus, even if for some of them their season is on hold. Right now the opportunity to compete may be limited, but the opportunity to impact and educate is limitless. Our Coaches and Teams have been helping with numerous community and non-profit organizations in our area to help make a positive impact .

We have made a commitment to our student athletes to not cut any of our scholarships and your DayOne contribution to the Digger Athletics Annual Scholarship provides immediate resources that will benefit current and future Montana Tech student athletes.
 

By raising money for the Digger Athletics Annual Scholarship it not only allows us to win the recruiting race on the local, regional, and national level it gives us the resources to make sure our students athletes education is secure during some very uncertain times.
