The Montana Tech Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences Department offers one of the only truly interdisciplinary degrees in the state of Montana. Unlike other interdisciplinary degrees around the country that have a core in only Arts and Humanities, Montana Tech’s interdisciplinary program also embraces our strong heritage of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics. We push our students to integrate Science, Technology, Communication, and the Arts to solve the modern problems of our society.
The Faculty of the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Department stand united for the ideals of diversity, acceptance, and inclusion at our university. We welcome all students to learn to the best of their abilities on our campus in an environment free from racism, sexism, bigotry, harassment, and oppression. The Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Department awards the William & Elny Chance Scholarship each academic year. The amount of the scholarship varies, depending on the number of applicants. Our hope is to grow the overall fund and in turn increase the amount we are able to award selected students.
