The purpose of the Staff Senate is to promote continued improvement of higher education at Montana Tech and in the state of Montana and to promote stability and professional growth of the staff of Montana Tech. The Staff Senate is a governance organization. The Staff Senate promotes service to students by improving moral and working conditions of the staff at Montana Tech. The Staff Senate may pursue other goals and activities that are consistent with its overall purpose. As an advisory group to the Chancellor, the Staff Senate recommends policies or changes to policies or practices for consideration by the Chancellor and improves communications by relating back to staff.

For DayOne 2020 Montana Tech's Staff Senate is encouraging you to give to the Pam Hogart Staff Senate Memorial Scholarship.

The Pam Hogart Staff Senate Memorial Scholarship benefits a Montana Tech Staff or a dependent of a staff member. The scholarship name honors Pam Hogart, who was previously a Staff Senate member and dedicated to helping students, staff, faculty, and other customers through her work at the Business Office.   

Staff Senate raised funds this year and hopes to continue fundraising to support this scholarship with the goal to offer at least one scholarship per academic year. The intent is to help staff who wish to broaden their knowledge or skills and/or help a staff member’s dependent full-time student defray costs of attendance. We will be accepting applications in October 2020 for the Spring 2021 semester.

Please help us grow the Pam Hogart Staff Senate Memorial Scholarship, both in honor of Pam and for the benefit of our Montana Tech staff and dependents.
