Exciting things are happening in the Computer Science Department at Montana Technological University! Effective this fall, Cybersecurity and Network Technology has become part of the department, so we now offer four bachelor degree programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science and Cybersecurity/Network Technology.
With the new offerings, we also want to make education accessible to more students. For some students the costs associated with education can present a barrier to pursuing their degree. During DayOne we are asking you to invest in the next generation of computing professionals with a gift to the REAL Scholarship Fund. The need to increase available funds grows every year. Our hope is to provide multiple scholarships to students in different computing majors each year through the REAL Scholarship Fund and your support allows us to do this.
Currently there are more high paying computing jobs in Montana than there are graduates. The Computer Science Department is ready to answer that call and realize that to do so we need to increase our available scholarship dollars. With this in mind, during DayOne 2021 we are raising funds for our REAL Scholarship Fund.
During DayOne thanks to a generous gift from Jack and Leah McCarthy, each gift to the REAL Scholarship Fund will be matched 1:1 up to $1,000.
Thank you for your support and please help us spread the word! Share this project on social media, by email and tell your friends!
