Many Montana Tech alumni classes have created endowed gifts at Montana Technological University. Using their collective giving to bring greater impact to the university. Below are a selection of these endowments with opportunites to give during DayOne.
The Class of ’62 Endowed Scholarship benefits juniors and seniors in metallurgy, mining, geology or petroleum. Established by the class in 2002 on the occasion of their 40th reunion, the fund has grown significantly through contributions by members of the class and their spouses and is one of the premiere scholarship opportunities on campus. This year, the classmates were thrilled to see their scholarship awarded to a grandchild of a member of the Class of ‘62.
The Class of ’68 Endowed Scholarship benefits juniors and seniors pursuing a four-year degree. Established in 2021, the fund awarded its first scholarship to a mechanical engineering student this academic year. The Class of ’68 has a goal to grow their endowment and the scholarship it provides significantly over the coming years.
During DayOne an anonymous alumni has offered a $12,500 challenge match if $8,900 is raised towards the Class of ’68 Endowed Scholarship.
The goal of the Class of 04 Endowment is to support future generations of Montana Tech students and provide perpetual support to the philanthropic priorities of our university. Class of '04 supporters will have the opportunity to voice how the endowment earnings are spent year to year by a majority vote.
