For 125 years, Montana Technological University has stood shoulder to shoulder with the Butte community. Our history and our future are deeply intertwined with this remarkable city and its people. As we celebrate Montana Tech’s 125th anniversary, we recognize a special obligation to the youth of Butte—to open doors, create opportunities, and empower the next generation of leaders.
Many of these young men and women will be the first in their families to attend college. We want to give them the chance to BE THE FIRST. They reflect the same qualities that make Butte unique: strong family values, a tireless work ethic, and a goal-oriented outlook grounded in resilience and determination.
The Butte Endowed Scholarship Fund was created to ensure that more of Butte’s sons and daughters can attend Montana Tech, regardless of financial barriers. Students selected for this prestigious award will receive a full scholarship, giving them the freedom to focus on their education and future.
Our goal is bold: to establish a $2.5 million endowment that will provide scholarships for Butte students for generations to come. Thanks to several leadership gifts, we are well on our way, and now we invite you to be part of this transformative effort.
