For nearly 125 years, Montana Technological University has been an institution of opportunity and innovation, a place for determined doers to prepare to make an impact in their profession and on our world.
Montana Tech (then the Montana State School of Mines) opened its doors on the 11th of September 1900 with one building (Main Hall) and two degrees (Mining Engineering and Electrical Engineering). It was our DayOne. Now, nearly 125 years later, we boast two growing campuses between Montana Tech and Highlands College and offer over 60 degrees.
To celebrate our history, and our growth, we will hold our eighth annual two-day digital fundraising event DayOne on the 12th and 13th of September 2024. The goal is to bring together our Montana Tech community, share what is happening on our campuses, and raise funds for our students, departments, and programs in focused areas.
During our DayOne 2024 event, in addition to project-specific matches, we will have special matching opportunities for our First Time Donors, Student Donors, and Faculty and Staff Donors, as well as a participation-based Departmental Challenge. We will share more information about matching and challenge opportunities as the event gets closer.
As an added bonus, 100 DayOne 2024 donors will be randomly selected at the conclusion of the event to receive a one-of-a-kind Dig City Supply T-shirt. Make sure to select your shirt size on the donation form so that you are eligible. Plus, every DayOne 2024 donor will receive a Dig City Supply sticker of the same design mailed with their gift receipt letter.
