Strong communities depend on thoughtfully designed roads, bridges, water systems, buildings, and public infrastructure. Montana Tech Civil Engineering students learn to create these essential systems with an education that lays a strong foundation for a variety of career paths 

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering provides students with a broad education across five areas: structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, and construction engineering and materials.

Small class sizes, dedicated faculty, and applied learning help students connect technical knowledge with practical problem solving. Field trips, conferences, laboratory experiences, and industry engagement prepare graduates to design, build, supervise, and improve projects in both the public and private sectors.

Gifts to the Civil Engineering Departmental Fund provide flexible support where it can make the greatest difference. In addition to providing a celebration dinner for graduating seniors and subsidizing professional membership and registration dues for faculty, contributions help strengthen scholarships, faculty development, student travel, field experiences, and access to current equipment and technology.

These opportunities allow students to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom and enter the profession prepared to help communities meet evolving infrastructure needs.
