Bringing a project from concept to completion requires technical knowledge, strong leadership and teamwork skills, and the ability to coordinate people, materials, schedules, and resources. Montana Tech’s growing Construction Management program prepares students to take on those responsibilities and lead projects with confidence.

Students learn about contracts, safety, and plans and specifications while developing practical skills in scheduling, cost estimating, and computer aided design. This broad education prepares graduates to contribute throughout the construction process while balancing quality, cost, safety, and efficiency..

Applied learning is central to the program. Through hands on projects, field experiences, industry connections, and close interaction with faculty, students learn how construction decisions are made and how successful teams turn plans into lasting results.

Investing in a Growing Program

Montana Tech’s BS Construction Management degree program has experienced extremely rapid growth in enrollment, from 4 students in its first semester (Fall 2023) to 79 students this semester. Visiting Professor of Practice Randi Rognlie, with 40+ years of construction management experience, has had a huge impact on the recent success of the program and its graduates.

Gifts to the Construction Management Fund help provide the resources needed to grow the program and strengthen the student experience. Donor support can expand scholarships, field trips, conference participation, industry engagement, faculty development, and access to current equipment and technology.

These investments help students develop the practical knowledge and professional confidence to enter a workforce where skilled construction leaders are essential.
