Students should be able to focus on classes, laboratories, and their goals without wondering where their next meal will come from. The Montana Tech Food Pantry helps make that possible by providing food and essential items to Orediggers experiencing food insecurity.

Created by the Associated Students of Montana Tech, the pantry has offered anonymous, no questions asked assistance since opening in November 2020. Its convenient location in the Student Union Building allows students to access what they need while remaining connected to campus and their education.

Helping Students Stay Nourished and Focused

Gifts to the **Montana Tech Food Pantry Fund** help keep the shelves stocked with nutritious staples, convenient food options for students between classes, and personal care essentials that can strain already limited budgets.

This support does more than provide food. It relieves stress, protects student dignity, and helps Orediggers remain focused on completing their education. It also allows Montana Tech to respond directly to student needs while complementing the important work of community organizations such as the Butte Food Bank.

• Keep shelves filled with nutritious staples and grab-and-go options between classes.
• Offer essentials that stretch tight budgets (breakfast items, proteins, fresh options when available, and hygiene basics).
• Maintain convenient, stigma-free access so students can take what they need, when they need it.
